WCF is a private limited company owned predominantly by local farmers and employees, comprised of a number of small and medium sized businesses operating in food and non-food markets.

The WCF Group has a turnover in excess of £100m per annum, employing some 300 people. From its formation in 1911 as an agricultural co-operative, WCF developed during the century into the large group it is today, becoming a private limited company in 1987.
